About 100 students from Sungkyunkwan University will walk 170km on Jeju Island to conduct the 2022 King's Long March
Sungkyunkwan University (President Shin Dong-ryul) announced that the "2022 King Go Daejangjeong @Jeju" event will be held on Jeju Island for seven nights and eight days from June 28 to July 5. The event, which will involve about 100 students, consists of a seven-night, eight-day walk from Aewol to Seogwipo and Seongsan to Hamdeok.
President Shin Dong-ryul said, "This event was suspended due to COVID-19 and resumed in three years, so I hope it will be an opportunity for students who have been in college through non-face-to-face classes to develop good acting skills and build memories."
Jang Pil-kyu, president of the Humanities and Social Sciences Campus, said, "I hope it will be a time to get out of the campus, make new friends, walk along the beautiful country, train your physical strength, and relieve the academic and job stress accumulated during the semester."
Students who participate in Sungkyunkwan University's King High School Trip will return to Seoul on July 5 after completing various harmony and exchange programs prepared by the student council and exchanges with seniors of Jeju alumni association.
